Dark Waters
The Farne Islands on the Northumbrian coast are rich in marine wildlife, including protected sea birds, such as puffins, guillemots and kittiwakes. Site of many shipwrecks and the famous story of Grace Darling and family who were resident lighthouse keepers in 1838, when Grace spotted the Forfarshire had wrecked on the rocks and raised the alarm. Dark Waters is inspired by a boat trip around the Farne Islands, the history and folklore and the seals and birds that rule these rocks.
